Cattle Grazing Fundraiser

WRC currently farms some 30 head of cattle.  These are farmed on an “all care – no responsibility” basis by a range of willing and generous farmers.  Any cattle deaths are not the responsibility of the farmer.

We are looking to increase the number of farmers willing to raise cattle on behalf of the club.  This can be done anywhere in the North Island.  We aim to provide cattle suitable for each graziers farming operation.  All cattle purchases and cartage costs are the responsibility of WRC.

We ask the farmers to graze the cattle and look after their welfare free of charge.  At the completion of the grazing period, the cattle will be sent to the nearest processing plant for sale, and the proceeds generated will be used by the club to promote the sport of rowing.

If you have suitable land and would like to help expand WRC’s cattle fundraising project, please contact Ian Paterson (0274 931 569 or 07 856 8000).
